Default "Easy Seat Entry" Issue!

Has anyone successfully set (via MMI) and used this convenience. Try as I might, I can't get it working. (I am assuming, without finding any documentation in the owner's manual, that the Driver's seat, upon exiting the car should move back, and upon entering, should move from back to front).

Any clarification, or tips, greatly appreciated!

In my A7 it just moves the steering wheel up.

Many thanks for the prompt reply. That was it. As I had the steering wheel all the way up, nothing happened. Moving it down let me verify that the Easy Seat Entry was working!

That's what it is, no seat adjustment.

I too was a bit confused that the seats didn't adjust. Every other car I've owned with this feature the seat will go back.

I assume you have advanced key and electric seats with memory?

When I got my car the option to enable keys to seat memory was grey and unavailable, after some google I found out if you press and hold open button on key for 5 sec, wait a few seconds and then press close for 5 sec, and after this procedure the option was available in MMI

I don't think it's supposed to move back, but the (memory)seat does move into the position it was last used with the key that unlocks it. So does the air contidition and radio station. They follow the key. If you only use one key, you'll never notice.

If you have advanced key and memory seats, the seats starts adjusting when you open the door.
I have one key and my wife (which is 13" shorter) has her own key and there is no new to use memory buttons

Shouldn't (or does) some documentation exist for this function?

Yes, page 70 of the manual.
