Default gas mileage

What gas mileage are you guys getting? I just took a trip from MD to NY cruising at ~80 mph and only got about 26-27mpg according to the computer. I've been getting 21 mpg on mixed 50/50 highway/city driving. Overall I'm a bit disappointed in the gas mileage of this car thus far, I have just over 2k miles and hope it gets better.

I typically get around 26+ on my slow and go largely highway commute. The computer has been about 1 mpg optimistic. I haven't taken a road trip yet.

Out of curiosity, what were you hoping for? Your's doesn't seem bad to me.

27 MPG doing 80 MPH, that sounds about right to me. The A6 3.0T is only rated for 28 MPG on the highway and thats doing 65 MPH while not using winter blend gas. On a side note, the A6 2.0T gets 33 MPG on the highway.

Same Here. Sure beats the 18 mpg I was averaging in my A8 though...

I don't know why but my milage is sucking. Everytime I fill up I'm getting 19 mpg, a bit disappointed. Was hoping for at least 22 or 23. I can't figure it out as I do a lot of highway miles, and with my crazy work hours I hit no traffic.

, thing is I even try to drive conservitively, last fill up I got 18.8 mps, from my calculations. I've only filled up about 4 times so far, so hopefully that number will improve as the engine breaks in more.

See my fuelly signature...over 22k miles tracked faithfully...that's for 70%+ highway.

By comparison, I used to average 23-24mpg with my '09 B8 A4.
