Hi ,, i got this error on dash few days ago ,, this was second time i saw this thing on my dashboard... when i put a code reader on it dosnt show any errors or anything ,.. maybe someone knows whats wrong ?
i saw the post about these gearbox cooling valves and this pin connector ... they all are dry and clean .. i allready repluged them and stuff and this error came up again .

i recently re-maped my audi , maybe its cause of that ?

A6 or S6? Which transmission/motor........it would be helpful to provide that.

its 2011 audi a6 quattro 3.0 tdi . with 7 speed stronic

ok, I had similar message before and it ending up being my steering lock, but I have the ZF 8 Speed transmission, so it may not be the same problem.

what does steering lock has to do with gearbox ?

If the steering wheel is locked, as in using your brake pedal to release everything, you will be going nowhere.

but this error came up when iwas stationary with car in workinbg conditions .. it just popped up and disapeared

Yup thats how it started on mine....I would intermittently get that message, and I would have to fully turn off the ignition, then turn back on again in order to start the car...Eventually the car wouldnt start at all.
Also, I remember folks with the 7sp DSG having trouble with the Mechatronic module, and I think that message might have been one of the errors.
