Harsh ride

I'm strongly considering the A6 when I replace my Lexus next year.
I found the following at this site:
"The Audi's lack of agility would be understandable if it rode like a Lexus around town, but it's just the opposite. Rough highways are miserable, as the Audi crashes and hops over every crack and ripple in the pavement. It's hard to imagine there's an even more aggressively tuned RS6 on the horizon, as this example of the A6 couldn't ride much worse."
Is this true? Is the A6 ride that harsh?

It's a great ride, but coming from a Lexus it will definitely be a stiffer ride than you're used to. But I dont find it harsh at all, especially coming from a Saab. Go drive one an let us know what you think!

very dependent on rims and tire size, make and model. 18's you are probably good. 19 or 20 with summer only tires are gonna get you some road noise and harshness.

The old A6 that I owned had the brittle ride on 18" wheels. Since the 2009 model year, the A6 has been way better and is a much better riding car. (noted by many magazine reviews and my own experience) The newest A6's ride is just as good and the handling is even better... with the weight distribution improvements and 60/40 torque split. In fact, I like the A6/A7 ride better than the newest BMW 5 series.
