Default Hartmann HS5-209-GA:M for S6

I ordered my S6 with 19's. I have absolutely no idea about which wheels fit..

http://hartmannwheels.com/audi-wheels

Hartmann HS5-209-GA:M

--------This is what i am looking at..The website has this in 3 diff 19 inch and 1 20 inch. They also say that 20 inch is compatible with Audi S6: 2013+ (20" ET40) .

Can anyone educate me if the 19's will fit as well on the S6?? (I dont wanna go with 20's or else I will have to change my tires as well)

Thanks

Pranay

Where do you live? Are you switching to all season tires or are you going to run the summers year round?

The stock offset for the S6 in both 19 and 20 is et45. You can do et40 or et35(which is what Im getting). I have the 20s stock but am sticking with 20's since I just put on all season tires for them.

You should be fine with the 19's although if you have the ability, go for the 20's, they fill out the wheel well a bit better.

I live in Pacific NW..

Mostly rain and sometimes ice depending on where i go!! I am not looking to switch to all weather in winters.. will stick with Summers.

What does et35 or et40 mean?? when u say 20's fill better does it mean they look better?

thanks

Offset: http://lmgtfy.com/?q=what+does+offset+of+a+wheel+mean

Yes, the 20s look better than the 19's.

Assuming ET 45 is stock:

ET numbers lower than 45 mean the wheels will stick out further.

ET40 = 5 mm further out
ET35 = 10mm further out

So lets say when i use an ET40 wheel, will the installer have to account for that difference by adjusting for this offset? How do they adjust for this offset?

You are reading into it way too deep. Please, click the link I posted above. There is nothing to install. The offset of a vehicle's wheel is the distance between the centerline of the wheel and the plane of the hub-mounting surface of the wheel. An et45mm to an et35mm means pushing the outer rim 10mm closer to the edge of the car.

I have those Hartmann wheels in the 20" on my A6, they look great. Since you're in the NW you should just head over to the Achtuning shop in Redmond, that's what I did. They are cool and very helpful.

I went with summer tires and kept my 18s with A/S tires for ski season.

What color car do you have these rims on? I'm looking to get them for my A6 2012 prestige in 19". I have ice silver. Thanks. Any pictures?
