High pressure fuel pump and fuel line

I have a 2016 2.0TDI 190bhp A6 with 72000km on the clock. Recently, while accelerating to overtake another vehicle, the car went in to limp home mode. I had this checked out at a main dealer. They are saying I need a new high pressure fuel pump and fuel rail. Has anyone else had a similar experience??
