Does anyone know what the horsepower to the wheels is on our cars? (2012 A6 3.0T)

The advertised HP is 310 horse, 333 torque. However, I don't know if the stated figures are measured from the flywheel or the cars wheels.

If the stated figures are measured from the fly wheel has anyone taken a 2012 A6 3.0T to a dyno to determine what the loss is between the flywheel and the car's wheels?

Going by this https://www.goapr.com/products/ecu_u...30tfsi_c7.html it would appear 294AWHP. Which sounds a little high if the 2012 is stock at 310hp.

The rated hp is to the crank. Finding an awd dyno may not be easy.

The rule I grew up with is 20% power loss for drive train IIRC. So a good estimate is flywheel HP minus 20% for wheel HP. However, cars are getting more and more advanced in their electronics so maybe that percentage has dropped for modern engines? Regardless there will always be power lost in drive train. Physics.

if you're looking for "numbers", muscle car is your friend. audi with quattro system, it's about efficiency using the best engineering. my a6 does 5.2 0-60, my 07 charger srt-8 did the same with 425 hp. even to get that number with my srt-8 was challenging depending on conditions. legendary racing driver Walter Röhrl said "even a monkey could win a quattro".
