Hi, I realize this has been brought up a few times before here, but I was wondering if anyone has had much experience with integrated radar defense systems, particularly the K40 RL360i with laser defusers? I'm considering this one..
K40 also just came out with new versions of their laser defusers which are supposed to be smaller, and compete with the AL Priority laser system (which is supposedly the best one).
I've read here that some people had the K40 RL360i and had to shut off K and Ka bands on the rear portion of the system because it interfered with their side assist. Anyone more recently encounter such problems? Thanks.

Had a 9500ci (w/front and rear lasers) installed in my 2016 and love it. Performs perfectly and I have had no issues w/side assist.

Very good to know. Leaning heavily towards the Beltronics Stir Plus with AL P laser system.. I hear the Bel is the Uncle of the 9500ci, same maker. What about the Side Assist of other vehicles on the road (Audi and other car makers)?? do they false your 9500ci? thanks..

What I'm hearing is that if your local police use K-band, you must keep K-band on, and then it will be the Side Assist feature of other vehicles that will false your system. Beltronics doesn't seem to have solved this issue, but K40 claims it has a filter which does with its RL360i. If anyone could confirm this, I'd much appreciate it..

Valentine One has implemented the K Junk Fighter which eliminates nearly every false lane/side/blind spot system alert. I highly recommend it. I run a fairly new Valentine One w/ a Quad ALP system.

Thanks, I ended up going with the Escort Max 360 portable. After ruling out the K40, I had been leaning towards the Beltronics Sti-R integrated system as I have always had great luck with Passport/Escort/Beltronics portables, and so wanted to stick with that company. But I discovered that with the Sti-R, if you don't turn K-band off, your vehicle's own side assist/blind spot system might false it (continually!) I couldn't run the risk of paying big bucks for the install, only to risk having to pay again to uninstall it. The Max 360 is working out great for me. I think I may spring now for the AL P system..

Nice. I had an older V1 and loved it but it was driving me batty with the false K-band alerts. I sent it in for an "upgrade". Essentially they send you a brand new one for much less than purchasing a new one and it's been quiet ever since. I also have X-band shut off as I don't see that where I regularly drive.

This is a trick lots of people can use, you purchase an older used V1 off of Ebay or Craigslist and then get it "upgraded". Just make sure it has software new enough to qualify. Glad to see the Escort 360 is working out well. They make a great detector, I just have gotten used to V1 tones and I see no reason to switch as of now.
