Just to clarify, I believe John said to make sure Bluetooth Audio is switched off, not Bluetooth phone. You can't have the AMI connected and Bluetooth Audio enabled in the MMI at the same time for a device.

Sorry, yes I have Bluetooth audio off. Connection through the cable still cuts out every 15 seconds. Also tried with Bluetooth completely off.
The problem is definitely with the IPhone 6s as my wife's iPhone 5 works fine.

Have you tried rebooting the MMI and a hard restart of the phone? Sometimes this can clear up glitches and you might get lucky.

also does the 6S work OK playing music when not connected to the AMI? From what you say and others experiences it sounds like there is a fault with the phone

I rebooted the MMI and the iPhone but still have the problem. The AMI cable does not appear to be compatible with an IPhone 6s.

As for Bluetooth, when I allow audio, I haven't had any issues yet.

Does the cable have a yellow or green collar?

OK so that is the current latest cable. Others here and on other boards are seem to be using the 6S without issue so it points to either a faulty cable or a faulty phone
