LED or HID Headlights????

HID may have longer lighting distance, particularly in Europe where the light adapts to speed. Standing from the front comparing HID and LED I'd say LED is brighter, and apparently it lasts longer too, not that HID has a short life that you should be worried. And the turning feature of HID is better than LED when going into sharp curve or highway ramp.
Cool factor wise, it is no contest. LED rocks. I test drove at night and looked at the car from the front. The Audi LED signature is unmistakable. People look in the mirror and know what you drive.

I was on the fence with the LED / non-LED and am glad I went with the LED. First of all, it just looks better and ties the car together nicely. Second, at night they are amazing. I felt like they would light up the entire sky.

I'd definitely say the LED's. I must say I cannot of a single reason regretting the purchase. My local dealer has an S6 that doesnt have LED's, and they just can't sell the car.

What car?? If you're thinking about changing a 2012 or 2013 A6 to LED from HID, you may find that money may be a problem. Thousands of "problems", in fact.

Well, IMO the LED lights are significantly overpriced for what you get
But if money is no object, they do have the cool / uniqueness factor factor going for them. Performance wise, not so much
Depends on what your needs and desires are

LEDs have a better cor for night Vision, a wider beam (so side to side moving lights aren't necessary).
If they weren't better why are all the manufactures switching to them?
Rolls Royce, BMW, Porsche, etc on their premium vehicles.
A thousand $ divided over payments is insignificant. If it didnt cost a little more wouldnt you opt for the LEDs over the HIDs? Your answer would clearly tell you which is better.
