so I got my car fully wrapped in xpel and finally wanted to adjust everything to my liking.
When I adjust the rear section of driver seat up by lifting the rear section of the flat button(no push of the button forward), the rear section of the seat moves up(which is intended), however, the entire seat moves forward too! Passenger seat had the same behavior.
Is it normal for the entire seat to move forward when I intend to just move up the rear section of the seat?
In other cars I've driven, the move forward motion is not coupled with move up motion.

That's a typical VWAG seat architecture. The forward movement, I originally thought, was for some kind of back articulation to reduce stress in the pelvic area.
Something interesting about the VWAG seats is that after raising or lowering the rear of the seat cushion, I find myself adjusting the fore-aft as well as the front cushion height. It probably means that the rear cushion adjustment is purely for seat height rather than cushion angle.
Mercedes seats don't move forward but it's also hard for me to find the perfect seating position. BMW seats are the absolute best until they break (twisted seat backs were common).

I have had same behavior in all my Acura's and my Infiniti. Must be some of the generic design they do to power seats to minimize the number of mechanical parts they need or the way they leverage space utilization for mounting the seat to the floor. I have come to accept this as normal behavior in cars. I like to have my seat high, but find to get the leg room I need I have to drop the seat a bit.

If the rear section of the seat is low, I feel like I am sinking into the seat, get too much pressure on my lower back and I don't get enough thigh support.

I do feel the seat bottoms of the A6 don;t seem to be as long as I am used to and do not support my thigh as well, I suspect it has to do with the contour of the seat back that makes the "usable" seat bottom length is shorter.

For whatever reason, Audi doesn't use an extendable thigh support, which just about all the other luxury marques do. That could be your problem.
