I ordered mine 9/17 and it should hit Port of Houston on 12/19.
Dealer said there is a way to handle the paper work so it would not hit the property tax rolls until 2012.

Not completely true there. I will be getting a US model A6. So everything you are getting will be the same thing I will receive as well. I would love to have the Euro Spec equipment.

I actually ordered from the dealer on July 28. Latest intel has my ship landing in RI the week of Dec 12. I may just hold off until Jan 1 to purchase as I do not need to buy it, pay taxes in 2011, and leave for vacation for 2 weeks... However, I am sure as soon as I see her, I will want her !
WOW that's ones taking it's time. Just in time for X-mas and the winter salt as well.

I am in Houston also. Ordered my A6 on 16 Oct and was informed by my salesman that it is scheduled for arrival at the Port of Houston on 19 Dec.

Although I am a bit suspect about the information. I was told 6 weeks when I ordered the car, then various other dates, and he doesn't seem to know the VIN even though it would have been on the ship at this point to make by the 19th.

Would be great to have it by Christmas.

The ship in question is the Mediterranean Highway. It docked in Emden Monday afternoon. Once loaded, it will make its first stop in Halifax on the 12th and then to Houston on the 19th.

I'm in the same boat (pun intended). refreshing this page every 5 minutes:
http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/def...0&type_color=7

Only if that meant it left the port faster.

Try a right click, cut and then paste at Houston and see if that works!

That's interesting. Mine is on the Garnet Leader and it is moored right next to the Med Highway in Emden. The Garnet Leader is scheduled to arrive in Brunswick on the 16th also. I wonder if they convoy across the Atlantic together. What I don't know about shipping could fill volumes...
