That why I asked about the fuel cutoff interlock.

I read somewhere that if you stab the brakes to bring the rear around and put more load on the front wheels to make the turn the fuel shuts off.

I've had my 2012 A4 Avant for a week now. I'm glad I didn't need to start this thread.

I wear a size 13 and, yeah, the pedals are WAY too close together.

Wondering if the brake pedal is something that can be replaced with something not quite so wide...even 1" less width would make a big difference in this case.

I just traded in a 2010 Mercedes E350 4Matic for a 2012 Audi A6 3.0 Quattro. I have brushed the brake pedal when stepping on the gas in both of these cars.

I agree, I wear work boots and I keep shaving the brake pedal.

I haven't checked, but it might be pretty easy to swap it out for a smaller one.
