MMI screen shake, saggy seat, wind noise round driver's door - not great build quality esp when you consider it's been out a couple of years.

I am going to try and do that to mine as well. It is shaking a bit when closing only. Gonna try to find a DIY for getting to the gears. Seems an easy fix.

Here is one on our site

Hi I didn’t really grease the gears it is more everything works on tracks.once remove the trim there is a good youtube video on how to do it.once the trim is off there is 4bolts 8mm.i didn’t have to remove the unit out altogether just pull it out from we’re it is seated.my advice when you are at this stage remove one plug I think it was for the flashers this gives you more room.next remove the back of the display itself have the display moved up it clips out and up.once you open and close the display a few times you will see what needs to be greased .1 the main slider and track from the display 2 on the display behind the cover you removed the two tracks on both sides clean and grease:but I cleaned and greased three tracks .and perfect now open and close.best advice take your time watch the YouTube video on how to remove the trim and get the wd40 silicone spray.and grease and clean a few times.

I added grease to the left and right of the track. The little troley moves smoothly still, not as smooth as original I don't think.

Did you clip off the cover of the back of the screen.there is two tracks where the screen hinges go along.

Yes it’s worth it as on mine it was the right corner of the screen when it used to shake.take the cover off it clips out at the bottom and slides up.you will see the two tracks clean and grease.and should sort it out.
