Just to let you know, I have a US spec A6 and I live in England. I removed my whole MMI head unit and radio unit and sent it off to NaviService in Poland and they reflashed my whole system to European UK spec. I wanted to be able to use all of the toys the car came with so that why I did it. I now have a US car with European maps. Everything is working flawlessly...well I did have an issue with online destinations through the my Audi website (same problem that snagitseven had), but that was an Audi website issue, not a problem with my car. That is fixed now and everything is great! So, it is sort of a hit or miss type thing with updates/reflashes.

One thing that I thought was really cool, when using Google Earth and street view, is that it now shows a streetview picture of my destination as I get closer to it. See the pic...
Very cool, thanks for sharing the photo.

I had mmi version ...409 and i had it updated to ...566. It works seamlessly. Many improvements have been observed e.g. street view, better back camera display resolution, navigation voice comand became more capable, no more intermitten glitches. To make a story short, it is worth updating.

+1 (Resolved lack of stereo on HD radio - noted added features and improvements, as in the post above!)

On the K0609 software version an image does appear when you are near your final destination. I think I was about a mile and a half away when I first noticed it.

IMO If you are upgrading just for the street view, I don't think it is worth it. It's novelty right now and I am sure the novelty will fade after you use it twice. Just like google street view on your computer the system in the car is sometimes wrong. Case in point, while in Vegas I was looking for a Denny's , when I got near the destination the street view popped up but the image was of a drug store at the opposite end of the strip mall the Denny's was in. As far as the cool factor, and showing off it is great but beyond that not much of practicality while you are driving.

Well, it seems there's another additional feature added to P0609 on U.S. C7's - a photo of your destination on the route list - sort of.

Does the P0609 give the MY 12 the stop/start capabilities? Maybe something that can be VAG'd if we don't have an actual switch ? Is a manual switch required (anyone got a photo?)...

I seriously doubt it would be possible with software only, even with Vag. Besides the in-dash switch, I was told by AOA there is an alternator (and possibly battery) difference on 2013 C7's, supposedly rated for the increased number of starts over the life of the car. Also, there's possible wiring harness and other component differences.

It's not yet clear if 2012's can even be updated to P0609. Anyone with a 2012 have it done yet?
