Default Nail in the tire :(

So my GF's A6 has a nail in the rear left tire with only 750 miles on odometer. The tire hasn't lost pressure yet. Do you guys think it can be patched or is it too close to the edge? I prefer not to replace it with another Pirelli. Suggestions?

Excuse the dark night photo.

Definitely fixable, if you have a costco membership or you bought the tires somewhere, the fix is usually free. It's very tiny hole.

Put the spare on before you drive it any further. As it has not lost any air yet it may be that it has not actually punctured the tire yet (you do not know how long the nail is), any further driving without removing it may cause it to do so. Once the wheel is off you could either mark where the nail is and then remove it yourself to see if it goes down or take it to your local tire shop and get them to do the same. If it does not have a leak then you should be ok to put it back on the car (but keep an eye on it for a few days). If it goes down then it will be a repair or new tire depending on the view of the shop

As others have said, this is repairable. Only damage to the sidewall, which clearly this is not even close, would be a problem.

Appreciate the advices.

Will put the spare tire on to avoid the nail from puncturing further and take it to a local tire shop. Tire pressure still seems good.

Will report back. Thank you very much gentlemen.

Looks like a tack/short nail. Good luck, hopefully it has not penetrated your tire.

It looks close to not being able to being fixable. Keep us posted. I've been denied with this.

Wow. This has to be a record breaker for the longest "nail in the tire" thread!
