Default NEW Tune from APR for 3.0t TFSI!!

I just got off the phone with APR, was calling to ask some questions about Stage II. The rep told me that their coming out with another tune with some hardware upgrades (throttle body etc) that will bring even more power than the Stage II in the next month or so! I'm so glad I waited, you don't have to have Stage I or II to get this "Ultra charge".

I tried getting all that info out of the rep but he was pretty tight lipped. He said in February all will be revealed. It will require some hardware upgrades that will apart of the kit. He mentioned the throttle body..so I'm guessing this will be more expensive than Stages I & II.

Bump for update. I just bought a Q5 3.0T S-Line and am very interested in an APR tune. If they are going to add hardware options other than the Stage II pully upgrade, please let us know what you find out.

Me too, I'm planning to do stage 2 this spring and really want to understand the options. I've been reading a little about dual pulley upgrades this week too which I want to learn more about before I decide what to do. I want a serious result and handle it all in one go.

Well it's March now and no announcement on APR's website as of today. Now that I have 50k miles, I was going to do stage I and II tune, with AWE's carbon fiber air intake. So after years of waiting and planning, I may need to wait a little longer to figure out what this new tune is all about.

AWE'S carbon fiber intake loses midrange power at stage 2. last i heard they was supposed to be making a newer version of that intake.
