Default No front Plate!!!

well my plates are not here yet, and I don't want to put it on Ever, But I know I have to. Does anyone have experience with these "no drill" mounts? I would like to mount it off the right or left instead of dead center. Any ideas welcome

I've seen a mount that connects to the front bumper tow hook on Euro cars. Not sure it looked that good.

3M makes a weather-proof, double-sided sticky tape (think body shop supply store, Autozone, AAP, etc.) that is very durable in this application.

Front plates really suck on these cars It pains me to look at my own.

Talked to my dealer about this. He said they used to recommend keeping it on the dash or in the trunk, then just apologizing if pulled over and making an excuse (it fell off). However, one of the salesmen recently got pulled over - for no other reason than not having front plates. It cost about $100, but is not a moving violation. Sounds like they are stepping up enforcement in Ohio.

I just don't want to pay it. I put mine on. I have to say, I don't think it looks so bad. I guess I'm just used to drooling over all the Euro version photos for months. They all have front plates over there. It doesn't hurt that Ohio's new plates are the best we've had in this state, and look very nice in contrast to the Dakota Gray of my A6.

It is a moving violation in some states, just a fix-it ticket in others.

50 states = 50 different set of rules

FYI. A license plate on the dash becomes a flying knife in an accident.

I ordered mine without a license plate holder code 6W9 (or at least that is what I thought) since I really wanted the chrome strips and clean look.
Came to find out from the salesman that when they placed the order they left that out. I told him I really want it and they are willing to install it when the car gets here. Now I am concerned about having to unscrew the bumper and installing the new grill.

Damn shame you have screw up the look of the front end. Mine has the standard US plate mount and yours looks much better.

Texas law states you must have a front plate, but my 2001 TT doesn't have one and I haven't been hasseled.
