Hi all, I've been lurking for awhile and am trying to figure out which trim packages I should be looking at to pick up the right used A6 for me. I'm looking for the trim level that includes:

3.0T
fog lights
digital temp controls (front and back)

This is generally what I'm looking for, but would prefer the 19" wheels/sport package:

I dislike the printed temperature levels on the climate controls dials, it looks ridiculously cheap to me for a car in this class. I've found one used A6 at about $45K with fogs, digital temp, and a good wheel package with less than 15K miles but it's got the shiny wood trim (it's a 2012) that I really dislike (fingerprint magnet). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

What you are looking for will only be found as a prestige package. As far as the fog lights, they dont exist on the C7's. Those fog lights are actually sensors, for the drivers assistance package.

Its hard to tell if it has innovation package, I think I do see the HUD in one of the pictures, but the angle makes it hard to tell. One thing you can do is contact Audi of America and give them the VIN. They can give you which packages the car has.

I have had Audi's with both the shiny wood and the brushed aluminum trim over the years and find that the shiny wood (dark walnut) shows fingerprints and such far less than does the brushed aluminum. I dont know about the other wood choices. I find the shiny wood is very easy to clean and hard to scratch.
The Cars.com listing says it is a Premium - not sure they really mean that, but if so, HUD would not be available

The car in the link is a Prestige with Innovation (only option to get LED headlights in 2012, I also see the HUD on the dashboard) and Cold Weather (heated steering wheel and rear seats) and black headliner. No sport package (4 spoke steering wheel)

I had been lurking around for A6 and recently bought one (should arrive tomorrow). This one is a good price compared with what I bought, for mine is at similar price and similarly equipped with 10K more miles.

Call me crazy but when I was shopping for my used A6 I came across a non Prestige with full LEDs. I only ever found one (I was looking specifically for the full LEDs). It was a very early 2012 so my recollection was that there may have been a brief order period where you could get the LED option on a non-prestige. It certainly had me confused at first.

I know its kind of like seeing Big Foot, but I saw it.

There were some pre-release or very early release models that all had LED but not all were Prestige. There was on a post either here or on the other World forum commenting on that.
