Well made the move. Traded in my BMW 2008 550i for a 2013 Premium Plus A6 with 19" sport package and side assist. Color is Havana Black with Nougat Brown interior and it is also CPO'd as it was a Service Loaner with only 1400 miles on it. Able to get it for just over $52k, which I thought was a fantastic price especially given the extra 2 year/50,000 warranty.
Live up in SF area and picked the car up down in Southern CA. Drove it home up Highway 101 and was so impressed with its handling, MPG, stableness, and ability to get up and go. I knew it was going to have all of those things, but when I compared the ride down in my 550i which I traded in to the ride home in the A6, it was obvious the A6 was a winner. Granted the 550i was 5 years old, but the fit & finish in the A6 really stands out.
Spent part of today trying to understand the MMI. Another few hours in the car I believe the MMI will become 2nd nature. Thanks.

Migrated from 330xi (well, sort of... still selling it). Of course the comparison to 3-series is not fair - the 3-er is a sport sedan and the A6 is a luxury sedan. But I drove the new 535xi and was unimpressed. The steering was numb. The run-flat tires are too stiff, have less traction and cannot be repaired and... every BMW comes with them now (except M3, M5). Very happy with the A6. Hope this will be a long term affair

I just made the same move myself. Went from a 2006 550i with a 6 speed manual to a 2012 A6 Prestige. I have to admit that the 550 was faster but the A6 is quick and more comfortable. The ride is improved and I look forward to not worrying about driving in bad weather. Best of luck with your switch.

I'd be willing to bet that our tuned A6 and A7 is as fast or faster than a current BMW 650ix IMHO plus we have no top speed limiter anymore. Oh what a joy this tune is!

What did you do to tune the car? I'm interested in doing this as well. Some direction would be appreciated.

MAYBE against the 2012 that has 400hp and 450ft-lbs ( and that is a big maybe because the torque is monstruous) but the 2013 is 445p and 480ft-lbs, honestly our cars will be destroyed, even the S7 will have a hard time to compete against those numbers. Because I feel our cars as fast as an S7 but only in short acceleration, in a quarter of mile or more the S7 will win.
