I use a wash mitt, I just go on a slow day and take the bay next the building that has the sink with faucet instead of bringing a bucket. Sucks on a really cold day, but scratched up paint sucks worse.

With the arrival of a baby, and a very busy year at work, I have been 'cheating' and using the auto wash next door. It's not touch less, but is advertised as 'foam brushless.' I have been through 6 times, and no swirling that I can spot. I do remember to fold in my mirrors though. I have been taking my wife's XUV through this thing almost daily for over a year and no noticeable scratching or clear coat damage. She has a full glass roof and no obvious problems there either.

I know many folks say NEVER do anything but your own hand, but honestly my time is worth more than the cost of some finish work down the road. I usually see S-classes, Porsches, etc in the wash so I figure I can't go wrong

Since the topic has shifted to washing. Has anyone used the auto car cleaning products from the dealership? Are they worth buying? There is a promotion going on at my local dealership for around 40% off. Not sure of that is a good deal or not. But just curious about the products.

Also I have a car cleaning service that arrives at my condo at 5 am and cleans the car 5 days a week. They hand wash and I have been very satisfied with them for the past 6 year for my pervious cars included. One problem I've encountered is the cleaner they use to clean the wheels makes my brakes squeal like crazy. Never had this happen on my previous Lexus models. Is it audi brakes or the cleaner? Thanks
