Will the radar given off by the pre-sense plus and adaptive cruise control going to make driving with my Valentine 1 radar detector nearly impossible? I am worried it will always be picking up signals
what band do they use, I am assuming its X or K, no KA which most cops use
Thanks!

You can reprogram your valentine 1 to deactivate the POP which will take care of the side assist stuff. Go on valentine 1 site for reprogramming. You can do a few things in there like turning on the algorithm that is in there for the traffic monitoring radars as an example. Some things are defaulted in off like that which you can turn on and others like POP you can turn off. Very few police use the POP anyway. I found all of this in an audizine thread.

K band is what the Audi uses. I had to disable my rear radar antenna as it became unusable due to the K band constantly being on. On the front antenna I don't have any issues (unless there's another Audi in front of me).
I have a Whistler mounted system on the front grille.

I dont have a radar detector anymore, but I just put a bit over 1700 miles on my A6 this past weekend. Had just crossed the CO state border and was driving about 80 when I wound up playing leapfrog with a Fusion. I passed him, and would get about 1/4 mile ahead of him. Then he would come up from behind me doing probably 85+. As soon as it passed me, suddenly it would slow down again, and drop back again.
At first I was just annoyed, then it dawned on my that the driver may have had a radar detector, and every time he passed me was alarming from my AAC? I wonder...

I had a radar detector going off continually in the Catskill Mountains on Route 17. There's hardly any towns and I was thinking that maybe the cell towers were setting it off. Now I realize it was probably someone's car.
