Does anyone successfully use a radar detector with either the driver assistance or innovation package?
The concern is Interference from the adaptive cruise control and/or side assist - The dealer told me that an integrated K 40 system would not work with the adaptive cruise control, I'm hoping others will. Next preferred choice would be Escort 9500ci.

I have a Escort 9500; no issues with it, nor do I get any 'falses' due to the cruise control/side assist. The only thing that falses is the laser warning on occasion when I get too close to the car in front of me if it has LED tail lights. I found this a bit odd, but the laser warning, in my book, is basically useless.

We have 2 2012 A6's. One has the built in K-40 and the other we use a dash mounted K-40 and often a dash mounted Bel 985 (older series). We have had little or no problems using any of these and both cars have everything-Adaptive Cruise, Side Assist, etc. The falsing we do see is almost always from other new model cars (mostly Audi) and is located in the K band which can be easily shut off.

I have the V1 with the POP function off and use a V955 most of the times (Beltronics) and they bith work fine.
For the V1 to work you need to turn POP off otherwise it will false K band every other second.

I mount it on the windshield for longer trips; I usually keep it under the console (next to the 12v power outlet). Surprisingly, I get Ka band warnings with fairly good notice even when its stored in such a disadvantageous place; it's much more sensitive on the windshield, but it is still sensitive enough to be of real use when stored away as well. K band is not as sensitive in the console, but it's not used in CA as far as I know. I was surprised in a recent trip to AZ that the police over there routinely use K band on their patrol cars. Glad I didn't turn K band off!
