Radio always on
Technically, it is. I think GM was the first to introduce this concept, wherein the radio is always on, and all you can do is mute it. In my A6, as in my Dad's GMC truck, "turning off" the radio turns off the entire nav system.
OK, I can deal with that. What's weird is the apparently random state of the radio when I start the car.
Sometimes the radio comes on. Sometimes it doesn't.
I thought that perhaps it restored whatever state it was in when I turned the car off, so I made sure to turn off-- excuse me, mute-- the radio before turning the car off. Nope.
Then I thought maybe the radio state was memorized (as so many things are) when I set the seat memory. Nope.
Again, it seems to be random. I'm assuming it's not and that I'm overlooking something. But if you have any pointers...

I would also like some help with this.
I found if you mute it by turning the volume down to 0, it will still come back on at 3 (very quiet) I think, when you restart the car.
If you mute it with a short press of the volume control, it will come back on at your previous volume.
If you press and hold the volume control, the whole system turns off and the screen retracts, and I don't think it comes back on when you restart the car, but I don't remember fully because I usually go in reverse when I start the car, the backup camera comes on, and the screen pops up.
