Does anyone have a picture(s) of how their RF loop/bypass was done on their transponder reader which is next to the left of the CD/DVD player? The transponder reader is also known as the immobilizer. I installed a Directed 4x10 for the 3x lock function. Everything went as planned until I got to the bypass function via RF loop. Bottom right of the module in the image below. I've wrapped the wire (22g solid copper, non insulated) around the transponder like shown below, done a "zig zag" across the front of the transponder, tried to use a valet key and regular fob (with battery removed) for the key fob wrap. They even have an "alternate method for interfacing with the immobilizer" which uses and external relay. No success at all.
I press lock three times and the car starts for a second then shuts off. It does this 3-4 times before the module gives up and stops trying. However, if I'm sitting in the car or standing right next to it and do the 3x lock, the car starts just fine since it's recognizing the OEM fob that's close by. The 4x10 module has remote start shutdown diagnostics which is telling me that it's the immobilizer thats causing it.
Can anyone offer any insight? I've spent an insane amount of time troubleshooting and researching this and Directed technical support refuses to speak with anyone other than certified installers. I'm at a loss so any help is appreciated.
