I actually had Xpel ultimate save my bumper. Pulled up to a hotel, bell man drags the suitcase across the protective shield. Big black streak. Buffed out. I don't think the paint would have fared so well.

Had a couple chips in the hood, used Dr. Colorchip. I think it is a good product. You can see where the chips were, but only if you are looking at them. If you are just admiring the beauty of the car, they don't draw your attention.

The main reason why I used Dr. Colorchip was to close the opening in paint.

unless you have your entire car wrapped with PPF you are going to get chips, i pretty much have my entire car with Xpel (Full hood, full fender, front bumper, headlights, mirrors, and full rear bumper) the doors are naked and they have a few chips here and there, not to mention the swirls i get from car washes and the area behind the door handle from my GF's nails grrrrrr

Get rid of her

Just kidding - that is why I did the cups behind the handles on the S6...now I just need to get the girlfriend to scratch them...

The protective films are great, but they look like crap after as well.

Honestly, with a 10 year warranty I would be fine if it looked like crap in 7 years and i was able to get a free replacement...but my understanding with the newer stuff is that it doesn't look like crap after a while. I guess only time will tell...
