+1. Don't need a block of snow/ice flying off the roof of the car in front of me.

Nope! I just leave a thin layer so the brushes don't touch the paint. The remaing layer blows off in seconds and before I get to traffic.

Is that the genuine Sno-Brum in the picture? I'll still be extra careful not to get too close to the paint anyway, but yours hasn't scratched? It's safer than a "softer-bristle" snow brush?

The one in the picture looks like the real deal as it has the print "Sno Brum". The one I almost got thinking there is only one of a kind looks like this one from Amazon.

Amazon Amazon

Yes, I would not use it to scrape the top of the paintwork too closely. Use it to get most of the snow off the roof, windows, hood, trunk lid and bumpers. The material is made of non-abrasive foam and moves heavy snow with ease.

Amazon has the Sno Brum on sale right now and check out the 211 reviews:

Amazon Amazon

Good luck

Aww, come on... you dont LIKE the mobile blizzard?

A few years ago (were you still in CO?) we had three consecutive "Friday Blizzards" A foot of snow or more each. There were LOTS of mobile blizzards in town then

It was the ONLY time my A4 could not be driven. I couldn't get it out of the cul-de-sac. I would have high centered it before I got out of the neighborhood.

Default Have used a brush (similar to the one on the right) for

years on my C5 A6. Used it essentially as Snagit suggests, with no scratches to show after 13 New England winters. A light hand and common sense help a lot.

Yeah, if you stay away for the hammer and chisel method of snow and ice removal, it should be just fine.
