hi. im looking at a 2014 tdi with 99k miles and ive been digging all day. those with higher mileage ones, how you guys' tdi's been holding up? from research, there's "high pressure fuel pump" issue that's pretty significant. what else?

Just turning 99,000 on my 2014, NO problems during the life of the car, absolutely the best I have ever owned and full warranty on engine and emissions until 141,000 with the diesel fix!!

Your post doesn't say where you're from. As far as I knew, only the 2.0 had HPFP issues. In the US we get the 3.0 TDI. if it has the HPFP issue, I am not aware of that.
I'm at 160,000 miles. I've replaced nothing but brakes, tires, and both front wheel bearings.

3L's have HPFP Grenade too, its just they sold alot more 2L's and its still a rather rare failure mode.. infact, all Diesels running the Bosch CP4 HPFP have this failure concern.. which is all of em now days, Cummins/Ford/VAG/Merc/BMW all are common rail diesels w/a Bosch CP4.1 or CP4.2 with the same issues.
HPFP Failure is covered until til Dieselgate warranty ends, then it might be wise to replace it every few hundred thousand like you'd do w/a water pump before catastrophic failure.

Just crossing 110k. Have had since 54k. Now commuting 130 miles a day so expect the miles to rack up pretty quickly. So far only big repair has been the wheel bearings. 2 were bad but replaced all 4 just to be sure. Other than annoying electrical gremlins, like the ACC deciding to stop working at random, times it has been trouble free. So far a restart fixes the glitches.
