Is there is VAG COM fix that can give us remote start?

I am not aware of one that does. Plus I think you would need some hardware to accomplish this as well.

Plus, with Audi's (and other car makers) emphasis on energy savings, i.e. start/stop, lighter weight materials, sophisticated engine management systems, etc., remote start would run counter to their current focus.

What about if I order the cable, will it work for my A6 and my wife's Q7?

It better be a very long cable to be useful for remote start.

It won't work. Audi has engineered their smart keys as intelligent proximity keys. If you use a 3rd party alarm start, I'd bet Audi designed it to where a key would need to remain in the car at all times...which is a pretty deadly risk to take!

Nope, it works on a whole bunch of Audi and VW vehicles.

I have used mine with the Audi A4 (B7 & B7), A5, Q5, A6/S6, A7, Q7, A8

The software will only work on Windows OS (Yes, it will also work with Windows OS that are setup on MAC Bootcamp/Parallels/VMWareFusion environments)
