I would like a little clarification on the use of the WiFi Hot Spot feature. The owners manual states that it may only be used in the rear seat and to keep it away from the front airbags. I understand the safety issue in terms of using a device while driving but can I use a devise in the front of the car when parked, stuck in traffic , etc? What experiences have you had with the hot spot?

No problem using in the front seat. Wife was using her iPad sitting up front while the kids were on laptops in the back. No issue.

That was probably more of a "suggested safety warning" in the manual. Being able to use it in the backseat and not the front, where the difference in distance is literally a few feet would defy the laws of physics and the way wifi hotspots work!

WiFi can't interfere with those electronics, and I think it's a rule stated for liability purposes only.
