Winter's coming
I have 20" Summer tires on my Prestige. I'm thinking of going to 20" Continental DWS All Season and just leaving them on. Do any of you guys have have any thoughts?

I prefer to have a second set of smaller wheels for winter use. The smaller sized snow tires/ all seasons are less expensive and there's a better selection.
Winter is hard on rims with the salt, slush and possibilities of sliding into a curb.

I don't have a Audi yet. I do live in the snow belt. Around here you have snow tires or you stay home until it clears.
I checked my local dealers parts dept when they had a snow tire sale last year. They told me the they bought the winter set ups from Tire Rack. The dealers sale price was around $170 higher but they swapped and stored the off season wheels.
The dealer and Tire Rack were selling the 18" rims. I did notice that there were some basic 3.0L A6's on the lot with 17" rims so 17's are a possibility if they are the correct offset and width.

I've been looking for an answer too re: winter wheels. I'm planning on getting a set of 18" wheels and tires for the winter for my Prestige with the 20" sport pack. Anyone know if the bigger brakes/calipers on my car will be a problem with 18" rims?

I have a 2012 Premium Plus with 19" sport package and I minus sized down to 17" Moda wheels with Blizzak WS70's. For my climate here in Anchorage a premium studless snow and ice tire is a little better choice than a winter performance tire. Went through last years record snowfall with no issues. Just switched over to my winter setup a week or so ago in anticipation of first snowfall.
