Default WLAN and myaudi music synch

We just had a big update on the MMI system and now, as one of the media sources, we see WLAN.

I know it's to do with the myAudi online music stuff, but does anyone have any instructions on how to use it ?

thanks

jet

I think any device that is connected over the Wifi network can be used to play media. DLNA compatible maybe. Keep us updated! How did you upgrade?

I believe it needs to interact with special Audi software on your iPhone. I do not have the upgrade MMI, but please let us know what you did to get it done!. Version number would be great to so I can try to ask specifically for it.

I do have the software on my iPhone, but without the update in the MMI it does not connect of course.

What I did is on a different computer, set up an iTunes account in the United Kingdom. I then found the Audi Connect music stream app on the UK iTunes app store and added it to the phone. There is instructions online on how to add an app from a different country store. If you do not do it right, you could wipe out your apps (Here is example instructions: http://www.labnol.org/software/insta...s-store/13523/ ).

Let us know if you get it working. What year is your MMI?

If we can get the part number for the CD, they only cost a few dollars and we can do a DIY upgrade.

Is this what you mean in terms of version ?

They applied it because of a synch issue I have with avi's with sound/picture when you pause the program or traffic etc jump in. It didn't fix that issue.

I got the cd/DVD today. Put it in and almost updated, then an error message saying no media. How can I get around this? It's USA update CD. My salesman let me borrow it.

whats the part # on that CD/DVD?

You might have to do it the old fashioned way, if youi are using the uodate feature through the MMI setup menu, this might not work.

See link below for instructions on updating
