New to the Audi family recently bought an A6 55 premium with Black optic package. I couldn't find any concrete information posted anywhere. I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade my headlights to the full led found on premium plus. When I bought the car back in April, it was literally the only 3.0 55 Audi within 300 miles of my house so premium plus / prestige wasn't an option. Oddly enought my car came with every feature found in premium plus outside of headlights, ambient lights change, and heads-up display. Sorry for the churn hoping someone and help me out.
Yes I know that feeling as I went last December to buy a Prestige and there weren’t any around within 500 miles. So I opted for a PP with Executive pkg and called it a day. As far as fitting of the lights, anything is possible and I would get a work up from my local dealer and then hit the internet to beat those prices. Keep us posted as to what you find.
As said, anything is possible but it will cost. Kufatec offer the upgrade to Matrix Lights https://www.kufatec.com/en/audi/a6/a...di-a6-4a-44425 but the price is eyewatering and not available for US cars (also requires a visit to Germany for them to fit it ). I would guess the price for the lights will be comparable in the US if you can find some. Best bet would probably be to find a car at a breakers that has a massive rear end shunt but an unscathed front end.
really it can be done - and some folks have done it - but to make it REALLY worth it you need to go to the full Matrix LED (Euro) conversion - that would be new Lights - at close to 5K per and some updated modules - then you need to code the system properly. The change is drastic and VERY cool. but you would be looking at sub-15K to do it.
Imagine driving around wit your brights on all the time. That is what the above would do. Lotta work and cash - but cool results!
What does “black twin “ leather mean for us in the States lol.
In Europe Audi now offers what they call "Twin Leather". Essentally the seat facings are real leather and the non facing parts like the edges of the bolsters are a synthetic leather
