For the OP - I wouldn't do the 2.0T for this car. The car is heavy and the 3.0T seems just right. You'll probably really like it when you drive it. I'm guessing you're closer to the nearest Audi dealer vs your Tesla dealer. That actually counts for something for me. I like using the dealer for all maintenance, so with oil changes and what not, it just saves me time being so close.
Agree with turning off the haptics. Makes the MMI so much easier to use. My only gripe with the MMI is it loses all presets about every month. Frustrating to have to reset radio presets.
on the plus side. I have ridden in many teslas. The Audi fit and finish will blow you away. With the V6 and a full tank we can get almost 600 mile range with all highway miles at 75mph.
finally. This car is safe, we were hit head on in our 2021 A6 at 80mph closing speed. The car was totaled, but protected us. We were hit head on by a 2 ton pickup. 2022 replaced the 2021.

That's good info, I appreciate that. I'm REALLY glad y'all are safe. I definitely want safety, mileage and comfort. There are a few things about the Tesla, a "high end car" that is frustrating (besides the malfunctioning technology) and that is the creaks and groans from the rear seat/doors. They can never find the noises and fix them. And even with "Active Noise Reduction" (which barely works) the creaks and groans are noticeable when driving without the radio turned up loud.
As far as Audi-tech, does the car's cruise control maintain a lane well and a proper distance from the car in front? These are things I'm hoping for. I'm going for another, long test drive in the next week to see if the A6 V6 is going to be "the one." I'm hopeful, I love the look of it and the first test drive went really well.

I always use the autopilot ( acc and lane assist ) when driving, sometimes even in town. When on longer trips on highways I must admit I put on a tv show and let the car drive. It performs excellent, you just need to jiggle the steering wheel every few minutes. Over time you learn to see a tricky turn that the lane assist may not be able to do by itself.
I hated my A6 touchscreens until I turned off the haptics feature.
I turned haptics off and it made a huge difference. Thanks for the suggestion @VjSky ! Of course, it doesn't correct the poor positioning of the display/controls.
