Where does the magnet part stick on the phone - assuming it is in a case? Does it go inside the case, outside, or both? Does the magnet on the case interfere with wireless charging? And when it comes time to remove the mount, how difficult is it and does it leave a residue?
The magnet is actually the round part that goes on your dashboard. On the phone you place a metal plate that either you can stick to the back of your phone or just place between your phone and phone case. If you place the metal plate in the center of the back of the phone it will interfere with the Qi wireless charging so I recommend you place it lower down on the back of the phone if you still want to use the wireless charging function... however the Clearmounts kit also included a cradle mount that does not require a metal plate if you prefer... we also sell as an add on a Qi wireless cradle charger that you can install on the ball mount... If you go on the website and see our videos you will get an idea of how the holders work... in the next few weeks I will come out with some videos specific to the new Audi touchscreen infotainment vehicles... As for removal... all you need to do is use a hairdryer and heat it up until it starts to move... then gently pull at it until it comes off... it will not damage the surface... what's important is don't use any objects to remove except some people have used dental floss...
