Door opening issue

Just noticed that the first time I try and open the front passenger door and rear passenger doors from the inside they only open when you pull the handle a second time
This is only an issue if the engine is running otherwise the doors opens at the first attempt
The setting for 'Lock when driving' is disabled/off
I have re-enabled & then disabled again but no difference
I understand that BMWs operate like this but I'm sure that my A6 didn't originally
I don't know for certain when it started or what may have caused it
It was in for a s'ware update for the memory seat issue end of April?
Any ideas?
