@Fuller St let us know what BSG part number they put it. it will be on your paper work when you pick your car up. there is a new BSG part out that is just making its way to the north american market. Assumption is that the new part is the fix. Root cause of the issue hasn’t been disclosed by audi.

Over the years rumors of a new part fixing the issue have turned out to be Big Foot sightings. Let’s hope that the recent rumors turn out to be true. As mentioned, Audi has been silent on the cause of the issue.

Got a call from my SA this afternoon. Car is ready to pick up. Replaced the BSG and battery. I’ll post part numbers when I get the paperwork. After quizzing him extensively, Audi insists that is was just a bad batch of parts. He said he’s not seen a second occurrence in previously repaired vehicles. We shall see.

I've read a couple of pages here - what is a BSG?
Mine has been in the shop for a month now - after leaving me on the side of the road. First they replaced the voltage regulator, then then 48V battery, now they're waiting on an alternator (6 others in their shop right now also waiting on an alternator).
For the first 3-1/2 weeks I had a Q7 loaner, but was just able to swap out last week for a (prestige) Q8. It's not as nice as mine - but it's better than the Q7!
What kind of wait times are common now for alternators? My service writer at the dealer understandably does not want to venture a guess - but said that there were something like 400 alternators coming into the country last week, with no idea where they were heading.
I do like that now the '23's support wireless Android Auto - but will probably go ahead and temporarily switch my Sirius subscription to this vehicle (already had to purchase a removable Sun/EZ-pass for tolls).
THANKS

Same issue here. Got some warnings last Saturday, then it shut down (luckily in my driveway) on Sunday. Had it towed to the dealership, had to rent a car the first few days but on Friday I got a Q5 loaner. I was told there were no parts in the US and we would have to wait for them to arrive from Germany, no time frame.
