I'm curious! Everyone that had a recent failure, did you get notified of the TSB? Has anyone had a failure after the TSB was performed?

Only recalls are distributed to owners. This particular problem has not risen to that level so no owner has received a recall notice. TSBs are distributed to dealerships (but not vehicle owners) and there is a TSB covering the repair. You may be notified by the dealership of a TSB when in for service for this issue or other routine maintenance. Not WILL, but MAY. If you own a suspect vehicle as called out in the TSB (linked below) then ask about the it, especially if you're within the warranty period/mileage.

I had this issue repaired under warranty on my 2019 A7 Prestige about 4,000 miles ago and have not had anything close to a related system message or issue. Current mileage is about 41,000. That's not much mileage from the failure point, though, so I'll definitely keep an eye on the system.

Upon reading the TSB 27-22-41 it appears to provide a permanent fix. In certain cases the 48V starter generator is replaced since it caused the problem. (My dealer service paperwork called this an "alternator" but the part number corresponds to the starter generator in the TSB.) The starter/generator control module receives a software update as well, to prevent another occurrence.

This is the most recent TSB released March 2, 2022, which added several 2021 models to the list of affected vehicles. This release supersedes three previous TSBs related to this issue.

.
Thanks for the info. Did they replace the generator or just update the software when you had your service?

Both. The starter generator was replaced and the control module software was updated.

The crazy thing is I called them 2 hours before to tell them about the malfunction warning and they didn't show any concern. I called them a second time when the car warned me to pull over safely. Still no big concern to them. they just scheduled me a appointment for the following week. 15 mins after talking to them the second time my car lost all power. Every warning light imaginable popped up before it stopped. I had to get a rental because the shop was closing when I got it towed there. Was told today they didn't have a loaner for me. I hope they get one soon.
Just had this happen to me this morning. 2019 A6 Prestige with every option including the stereo upgrade. Mileage 59,900 miles. Looking at the door sticker, it looks like 11/18 manufacturer date... waiting for a flatbed tow truck now... out of warranty and waiting for the fuel sender recall fix supposedly this month... ugh.

Just experienced the same issue for my 2019 A6 Prestige during my road trip (300 miles away from home). Had to get it towed to the nearest Audi dealership and they quoted me $3800 to replace the alternator. Now facing the backorder issue on the part.

done.... here is my write up to nhtsa:
Multiple warnings indicating to contact dealer (Lane departure, adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance, etc) then 1 minute later transmission failure and engine failure imminent.... pull over immediately and contact dealer. I turned into a road off main highway within a minute of the last two warnings and as I turned, my center MMI went blank then my electronic dash went blank, transmission went into neutral and the engine died all within a few seconds. Fortunately I was able to coast to a stop in the parking lot. Flatbed towed to dealer who stated most likely the generator between the lithium battery bank and gas engine failed. They have seen several in this year for A6 and A7's with mild hybrid engines. I'm lucky to be in low volume traffic as there was no power to indicate to drivers around me that my engine quit and not even turn signals worked.
