Well, I just got mail saying that my 2019 is covered by an "Emissions Service Action 27BQ". Not sure how that differs from a recall, but either way I am pleased that this has finally happened. Will take it in on Thursday so they can confirm that they can order a new starternator. Their claim is they are usually coming in within a day or two now. I was concerned that I might pass by the warranty (unless they extend it again) before I got a failure. I am coming up on 5 years and I just hit 15K miles yesterday.

Bob

I’ve known something was wrong with the auto start-stop for a while but I absolutely love that it’s not working. It only seems to work when I put the car in park but doesn’t work when driving around. Needless the say, I will not be getting this fixed lol (fortunately I’m not in CA where they’ll stop registration renewal without it).

Not a good idea. This is not really about emissions. It is about having your car completely die in the middle of the road with about 60 seconds warning. Suggest you read the electrical malfunction thread in this forum. and on the Q8 forum. .
