Because OBD11 is not capable of activating the sport layouts on the gen2 cockpits (a6,a7,a8,q3,q8...after 2018), only gen1 (a4,a5,q5,q7 until 2019). The Gen1 cockpit is just via hex eeprom edit which obd11 can do.
Reason being, the gen2 virtual cockpit needs to be flashed with a modified firmware (takes around 15min) and then updated again to newer firmware (also takes around 15min).
Only then the required adaptations are unlocked to activate the 3 layouts and only this step can be performed by any coding tool (obd11, vcp, vcds, odis, launch...).
So no coding device will support this as the flash happens via SD card or USB drive. Bluetooth would result in a big failure.

Hey jasa004 I understood that's procedure is not allowed to gen2 cockpits. If I'm wrong just let me know. If I understood correctly the procedure will install a modified firmware that will change gen2 cockpit as a gen1 cockpit, correct?

With the procedure, we install a modified firmware twice. Then we enable stuff via a coding tool (obd11, vcds,vcp, odis...).
- 3 sport layouts
- RS Monitor in radio menu
- G-Meter in cockpit and radio menu

If your MMI is MIB3 then you have a different generation of cockpit. Not possible with this method. Currently no remote options for your vc.
If you have a 2021MY with Gen2 VC (has the S layout as one of the options); do you know how I can enable the oil temp / boost at the bottom of the display ?

A 2021 car has MIB-3, so it can't be done as yet - see jasa004's posts two posts above

If i remember correctly, hardware and software dont support it. You can send me the version or part number and ill check. Holding the leftmost button on the steering wheel should open the version info menu in cockpit.
