Default Wheel compatibility - Please HELP!

Hello everyone, I am replacing my 2015 C7 facelift Audi A6 with a 2021 C8 A6. I have a set of FACTORY original 19" wheels for my C7 facelift that I would like to use with my C8. The dimensions are different though.

For the C7 - its 255/40R19 99V 8.5Jx19 ET45

For the C8 - its 245/45ZR19 8.5Jx19 ET40

Can I fit the C=7 wheels to the C8 without an issue? ...or not possible. Thanks for any input!

Yes, that should not be a problem. I work for the most popular online wheel and tire website and can confirm a 19x8.5 ET45 works on the C8. Center bore is the same and the lug thread and pitch match. I always recommend when you go off script, you have a look for clearance issues before you drive.

255/40R19 is about an 1" shorter in overall diameter than the factory C8 245/45R19 but carries the GAWR load at 42 psi.

Thanks a lot for your input! This helps a lot. Does this mean that I don't have to worry about the ET difference either?

The C7 higher offset means they will sit inboard of the factory C8 wheels by 5mm. It's a negligible difference in terms of aesthetics and function in my opinion.

I have bought a C8 Avant. Its from Japan so the wheels on it look like they have come off a shopping trolley. How do I calculate or determine the maximum wheels size, tyre profile with offset combination that I can get away with, without the tyres hitting the arch. The car I bought also has 4-wheel steering also. I am having issues finding wheels. There are 20" available but they're too small IMO. 21" would be perfect but very few available. 22" looks great and are avaialbe but my concern is wheel rub. I have seen some C8's with them on. Not sure if they have issues?
