Default $85 quote from dealer to fix a flat tire!!!

Wound up reading the manual, taking off the tire, taking it to Discount Tire, getting it repaired and re-balanced for $11.95. Learned how to use the jack and tool-kit in the process. Manual says to torque the wheel bolts @90 ft-lb; sound kind of high for a alloy wheel!

Default Yeah, dealerships price tire services high so they won't have to do them.

They consider themselves busy enough with other work that they'll charge stratospheric prices for tire mounting/patching, hoping you'll just take it down to Discount Tire or Firestone.
