Anyone know the procedure for removing the center console in an 00 A6 2.7T 6sp? I'm thinking about putting the nokia CARK-91 in the armrest. I have seen the A4 FAQ and looked at the A6 console and only found 1 screw.
Thanks

Heck - I eventually replaced the little pop-up copholder by the emergency brake with a "holster" for my cell phone without taking out the armrest...see below

In the process of installing the Nokia kit in my '00 A6, here's what I learned.
Remove the rear air outlet by pulling straight back...fingernails behind the top edge should do it. Unplug connectors to reveal two screws holding console.
Remove the wood trim around the shifter by carfully prying up...again fingernails under rear edge will work. This reveals two more screws.
I assume you found the screw under the cover in the bottom of the storage bin. Actually there are two visible and I removed both.
Pull up the e-brake lever and open the snap cover on the left side. Reveals a socket head (allen) screw which holds e-brake cover.
At this point console should be free. If NAV is installed you'll need to unplug connectors to the control panel.
That should do it.
BTW, I mounted the phone to the right of the radio using the Panavise bracket for the A6.
Interfaced to the radio using instructions from the tech forum and used the factory antenna and wiring.
Everything works great and my wife still raves about it everytime she uses the phone!
