I went to get in my car after my wife drove it last, power seat won't move. it sux because I can't even get in the car now.
There are 4-5 connectors under the front of the seat, on the console side. They all look intact/connected.
the lumbar works, not the base or the back. The switch will 'engage', I hear the relay click inside, but no power to the motors. If I press the stop on the seat memory controller, I no longer hear the switch relay click.
I saw somewhere a recommendation to pull the carpet off the bottom of the seat from the rear, there may be another connector there... can anyone confirm this before I rip up my upholstery?
I was trying to check the 'breaker' on the relay panel, but I had to give up because of the cold and dark... there's a bundle of cable the size of elephant c@*# direclty in front of the breakers for both seats... I thought I would flip the breakers and see if the problem moved. Not sure how the hell you are supposed to change those if you had too....
after freezing my *** off trying to figure this out (it's 34 degrees outside today), I'm almost tempted to take it to the.... dare I say it.... dealer! I'm just not ready to get ripped a new one...
if anyone has any encouraging words, I'm ready for them... I've got to get this fixed now before I can get my new clutch installed, which I need to do before I can troubleshoot/fix my lean condition causing the CEL so I can pass NJ inspection.
I'm depressed :-((

If your wife moved the seat all the way forward, the plug which attached to the rear of the fore/aft motor will pull loose.
When you remove the carpet, the motor is the cylindrical object running parallel with the console on the inboard side. The plug should be laying about on the floor behind the motor. The plug goes in from the side (kinda funny looking). The carpet trim can be reattached if you need to; use glue or staples.
