Default 01 4.2 with Nemo ext and vanilla interior, sport package

This car has 53,000 miles on it and was a preowned certified car at 45,000 miles, bought by the owner. The owner want's $17,700. I live in Mn. and it includes a winter set of wheels and tires. Is this a good buy? I'm thinking it is. My only concern is the gas mileage, I understand that the 4.2 is a solid engine. I think for the price I could get a few less MPG. I haven't seen the car as of yet. Any thoughts?

Default Nemo ext and vanilla interior would be any awesome combo. I've seen them separately; but,

never together. Price doesn't sound horrible to me. Sometimes it's not all about the price.

Default sounds good but a good price it relative to what you want

that said 17,700 seems reasonable and if you like the car even better

Default sounds reasonable to me and gas mileage is relative....the 4.2 is a bit thirsty but I love mine

and those fender flares are awesome

Default It's reasonable !

It costs about $30,000 S6(A6 4.2 was not sold in japan) with about 53,000 mile.
My 02 S6 fuel cost is,27MPG in the highway,
19MPG in the city.

Default Had the same worries before buying our 4.2.....

But I have never regretted it one year later. Ditto the mileage on the highway of about 25. I commute on NON Highway about 35 minutes each way and I can usually squeeze 19 mpg for the week.

You will never regret getting the 4.2...the motor is THAT good.

Default Sounds good ...

I did a lot of research before recently buying an '02 2.7T, and that seems like a very good price. Obviously, you need to check the overall condition inside and out, but the price seems right and sounds like a nice color combo.

Default Gorgeous combo. Extremely rare. If you are worried about gas, well keep in mind that maintaining

what was once a $55K car, isn't going to exactly be cheap either.

Spend some money and get a thorough PPI done by somebody who knows Audis well, before buying.
