For the past two year my low washer fluid alert would constantly go off even if it is totally full
It seem to happen more regularly when driving slow especially in areas like parking lots
It never happens on long highway drives
Is there anyway i could fix this myself? Where is the actual sensor?
Thanks

Small sensor about 1/2 way down on the side of the bottle toward the engine. There are only two things that have wires, pumps or the sensor. Some bottles have two pumps. But sensors only have two wires. Pumps have one or more tubes as well.

HAve you heard of these issues? Any idea how to fix? Does this wire need to be replaced? Where can i get one if so.

Sensor is a reed switch and magnet in a float. if the float doesn't 'float' it will cause this problem. Take out the sensor and put an ohm meter across the two pins. Should go to zero ohms when the float is at the bottom. Put it in a glass of water to see if the float 'floats'

I meant the connector to the sensor has only two wires. If you really don't care about the volcano on your LCD display just short the two wires together; chances are the sensor closes to set off the low fluid warning.
One way to short them is to remove the connector from the sensor..if the volcano doesn't go off, just put s little jumper wire between the two connectors in the plug.

after doing this test you will verify if you need a new sensor.. another problem in this area is the headlight washer gives up the ghost because the pump completely rusts out. May be a good time to remove the tank and replace both . i think it requires removal of the drivers side fender liner but no big deal
