My 2002 Audi a6 3.0L won't start. I got the fuel pump relay fixed thinking that was the issue. Then the camshaft position sensers (all 4) replaced and it still won't fire. I have no idea what to do next and the fuel lines and pump are fine. I checked them already. The electronics seem to be working properly just the engine cranks but won't fire.

Spark, fuel, air, compression. Did you pull the fuel rail and see if it is spraying fuel when you try to start the car? Did you pull the plugs and check for spark?

1. check your codes, as others have said.
2. Coolant temp sensor? This can trigger the issues you describe (cranks fine, no start). and, it can trigger with no warning whatsoever.

Sounds like a cps issue and agree with all that vcds would help, but an intermittent fail crank position sensor does not always show up with it's only two code monitoring parameters of open/short or implausible signal.
