Tell your wife to watch her language in front of the baby - they pick up everything!

Hey so I recently had my Audi throw the P0455 code for a large EVAP leak and did a ton of research and found out the purge valve was a common issue on this particular car I own a 2006 Audi quattro 2.0T wagon. I looked it up on YouTube to find out where the purge valve is located for this car I'd say do the same for yours so you can have the visual of exactly where it's slightly different on some of the models but not by much on location. Generally it'll be close to your engine it's not a very big part but does a big function mine had gotten stuck open. It's held on by a couple of clamps that connect it to EVAP hose and back of engine area on this car. Not positive for yours. You can remove it yourself easily by pulling the clamps back and blow on it using your mouth if air goes all the way through then your purge valve is stuck open but these can also get stuck closed. Best solution look up by Vin purge valve replacement for your car and there are a ton of YouTube videos that will walk you through how to do it yourself if you want to save money but if you watch those and don't feel confident still buy the part yourself that will save alot of what you'd get charged at a shop and that way you only have labor costs still cheaper but it is a very easy fix you'll see when you look up the videos I'd never done before recently myself and it took maybe ten mins including with self testing the old one. Good luck I really hope this helped some.
