1999 2.8l 30V - electric cooling fan running
Seems like the electric cooling fan is running all the time.
Cold engine right after start, no A/C and it runs.
Cold engine shut off, fan keeps running for several minutes.
Doesn't seem normal to me.

Coolant temp in VAGcom shows correct values (all mentions in the advanced measuring list).
Unplugging the engine coolant sensor trigger error message.
The fan is running all the time. Start cold car: running.
Hot: running
A/C on: running
Shut car off (hot or cold): keeps running for several minutes.
I can 'shut the fan off' by pulling the either of 2 connectors at the power steering reservoir:
- one has only 2 but fat contacts (like the power line to the fan)
- the other the big round in the center with multiple contacts.
I found one thermostat with connector at the bottom of the radiator, passenger side (haven't touch this one during the built, but certainly may have been stretched when moving front clip into park position). Cannot reach that connector without again putting the car on stands and take the lower engine cover off.
How can I check the readings off that thermostat? Or is it just a 'switch', not read by the ECU?
There are NO codes anywhere!
