<center><img src="http://images.charlesrichards.net/d/54523-1/a6.jpg"></center><p>Well I went and checked out the car again yesterday.
A few of the electrics don't work ... the drivers heated seat doesn't seem to work, the digital display between the speedo and tach only displays what gear you are in, nothing else, and the cruise control doesn't work. Everything else seems to work fine though. (all the *other* heated seats work :P)
All of these issues seem pretty consistent with alot of other forum posts I've read here and on other audi forums (Audizine, Audi Forums, Audi-Forums) so for an almost 10 year old car, I won't complain.
I took it out on the highway up to almost 90mph, and the car rides real smooth ... a little bit of vibration in the steering wheel, but that's all. The brakes seemed fine, I had no problems stopping when a van slammed on the brakes on front of me!
They put on new tires for me (spector?), but they were a little reluctant to fix any of those electrics for me :-/
Thanks to the advice on here, I was able to talk the price down to $7800 .. and I think I'm going to get it! They have it "on hold" for me while I'm on vacation with my family for the holidays, so hopefully within a week I'll be posting back here a happy first time Audi A6 owner![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Also, here's a picture of the car from the dealer - I think the tint and wheels make the car look real nice!
Thanks for all the info and tips to everyone who posted here!

As for the display between the speedo and the tach, did you press the button on the windshield wiper stalk (I think it's the one that's at the bottom)? If you press it in and out briefly, it will turn the display for the trip computer on and off.
That may do the trick.
Good luck with the car!

<center><img src="http://images.charlesrichards.net/d/54553-2/IMG_2640.jpg"></center><p>I'm excited to finally be able to come back here after a good and lazy Christmas and post some pics of my new (used) A6! Links to some more:

Picked it up on Wednesday, after a fresh 6" of snowfall - The dealer cleaned it up well, but the hour drive home on crappy Iowa roads made the car a mess pretty quick![Frown](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif)
I already love this car alot, it blows ever other car I've driven out of the water in terms of luxury and comfort. The 2.8 V6 seems to get along fine for me - I'm not screaming down the highway much at all, and I think that once I'm done with college, I'll start looking at a 2.7T maybe![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Anyways, an early happy new year to all of the C5-ers!
